Destiny 2 marketing composites were created using in-game assets that were custom-posed and lit for capture as high resolution screenshots. These captures were then brought into Photoshop so that characters, weapons, environments and props could be cut out and assembled into custom compositions with additional refinement and post processing. Building each image from individual elements rather than a single gameplay screenshot gave us greater creative control - from composition and lighting to focus and visual storytelling - while maintaining the flexibility to adapt artwork across social media, video, print, and other marketing materials.
